I think that "time-alignment nitpicking" of a speaker with multiple drivers is of marginal importance. The basic problem is that a line array or any wmtmw arrangement makes an acoustical lens. A lens has always has a point of focus - at certain axle and distance. You can do that in anechoid chamber both electrically and physically (practically always combined) But that is relevant only to this point of focus in anecechoid chamber.

The wiser way to achieve time and phase alignment in listening conditions is to use a single driver or a coaxial driver. But then you meet many other issues in practice. There are many respectable achievements however - some of the latest are KEF Uni-Q and Genelec MDC

The big Focal might be a good speaker though, but there is a lot of marketing "science" behind it.
