How are you going to get the slots cut in? I was thinking it'd be best to remove segments from the rings before assembly.

Yes, I realize there is a much easier way to build this.....with pvc pipe or the like.
I'm just doing it this way because I have the materials lying around. Also, I strongly oppose efficiency, I eat my soup with a fork
