Default Would these work for Slot-Loaded OB?

I am interested in this project:
The Slot Loaded Open Baffle Project Article By Nelson Pass

For the woofers, assuming I adjust the number to get correct impedance load, would these drivers be sufficient or likely to sound like feces?

I am torn, because I saw the slot loaded single woofer this year at Burning Amp... In photos anyways, and am thinking a Beta 15 is a better choice than a heap of these 8", but that's why I am asking all you folks. I am actively xo with a visaton B200.
