Anybody know where you can get a nice looking little metal mesh grill that will work with the 3" Tang Band 871?

I know Parts Express (www.partsexpress.com) has round metal grills in various sizes. Also try some car audio sites.

Actually, I have finally found a few. Madisound seels some made by Fostex, but they are almost $20 a pair (!), yet look no different from a few $3 a pair ones I saw.

And where did you see these $3 ones, was it online? I too would like to get ahold of maybe a mesh to put over these to protect from dust, instead of a grill, that would protect against little fingers...
