My guess is that they are probably non-magnetic, contrary to most of the 10W MOX (metal oxyd) resistors I've tried

This could explain it to some extent but I haven't come so far (yet) as to compare the sound of resistors myself + never had some Duelund's in my hands: I have too many urchins in my pocket to spend equiv. 20 USD on a resistor - idem for silver/gold/platinum capacitors which cost more than the rest of all loudspeaker componentry, drivers included.For the time being my favourite are classical wirewound 10 to 20 W (in white or grey cement) but again, I haven't done proper sonic comparisons.
