Eminence Deltalite II 2510
The horn is a Ciare 1.38TW, however I think the new Ciare part# is PT382.

Would be interested to try a high sensitivity 10" and horn, and Eminence drivers are available at reasonable prices here in OZ.

Because the linear distortion of such systems is inherently high. Drivers operating right through breakup + horrid polar response.

If I want high efficiency, then i'd much rather go the DIY equivalent of the Geddes or Danley Route. Especially since such options are abundant - SEOS, Pi Speakers, DIY Synergy Horns, Gedlee Kits, TPL-150H crossed at 1khz, etc.

Dang, is that considered reasonable there? They are less than half that here.

Reasonable? I wouldn't pay it.

We in OZ are used to high prices for products made in US and Europe.
Products from Asia are sometimes cheap here, perhaps reflecting the geography of transport as much as anything.

It does change the performance / value equation quite a bit.

Freight from the US for heavy items (like speakers) is expensive and stores like Madisound and Parts Express quote ridiculous amounts. The high AU$ doesn't seem to have resulted in much change in local prices from retailers.

*sigh*
