i get a hum which i assume is from some form of resonance. the boxes are sealed, with the drivers offset and no two distances equal, partially filled with polyester filling. 0.75" MDF. either that or it is a wireing problem raising Qtc. also, the speakers have a flat bottom, which is seperated from my desk by a layer of box carpet. any ideas or help? driver is a dayton 6.5" sheilded speaker, box size is like 0.3 cubic foot each.

The polyester fill by it's self isn't enough, you'll need to line the inside walls with a heavy lossy material, carpet underlay, bitumen, lead sheet ect.
