Not sure if it is picked up anywhere in the numerous forums, but I saw that Neville Thiele passed this morning.
My thanks to Bodhan for passing this on.

What an innings to use a cricket metaphor
Not retiring makes you live longer I suppose.
Thanx for posting as I missed this locally, but even if he deserved it he wouldn't get a state funeral I suppose.

'Just read a testimonial article to the memory of Neville Thiele OAM in the November issue of local magazine, SILICON CHIP.
It was written by a long time associate, friend and audio manufacturer, Ron Cooper, of Audiosound Laboratories.
There is a snap of them together with Richard Small, of the "Thiele-Small Parameters" team in 2010.
The article is not yet referenced on the SC website for a glimpse but it is a reminder of great times and
great figures in our audio pioneering past and present. We will come to miss them all.

I just learnt that today. Sad.
Does anyone remember that Thiele one day said something like :
"parameters do not exist in reality, they only belong to simulation" ?
I would like to know the exact phrase and when he said it,
I think I read it in AudioXpress and it was pronounced during an audio meeting.
