How to achieve coherence

With my Intimates speakers, I just hear music; not the tweeters or woofer/mids. Thus, I suspect, they are quite coherent.

We will likely be doing another with the new FF85 which is better (but only goes to 25k), and the SDX7 which is a better midbass.

For example I thought my speakers sounded pretty coherent. But when I heard another speaker, I was shocked at how incoherent they were in comparison.

Shrug. How can we every really know anything? I don't understand the question.

I've heard thousands of speakers of many types, I'm pretty sure I know when they sound disjointed or not. Just in case, I've asked most visitors if they sound like separate parts. Answer is always "No, I don't hear speakers at all". I always like to check.

Green Mountian make some little speakers that have sliding parts. You can hear it come together when they are lined up right.
