I am using a dynaudio 17W75 as a mid in my Lambda OB speaker. It is crossed over at 350 and 2500. Sounds good but I do notice it doesn't have the absolute best in detail/definition, slightly soft on some leading edges. I am already thinking of my next improvement or version 2!
I was wondering what you guys/gals thought of the Scanspeak 15M 5 1/2 inch mid or the Peerless nomex 830883? (suggested by someone)The Scanspeak is crazy money but the Peerless is reasonable at $80 ea. I am thinking they would be an improvement. Any advice? Is the Scanspeak that much better than the Peerless? Does the peerless driver approach the scanspeak i n terms of performance? |
