i think REVEL M20 is one of the very few bookshelf that i would buy if i dont DIY.
impressive BASS and midrange with quite enjoyable tweeter.

i do think most passive 2ways will benefit from larger power amp, 150w up, especially in BASS area.

there is always something about JX92S that is so good to listen to, but they do need power 100w up.

as for B&W, they always voiced the speakers with aggressive mid and hi's, it was only balanced with the bigger models with big woofers.

It is a good speaker henry, so if you have the power it needs you can do worse for sure. M22 is even more power needing than M20 (I have talked to the general agent in Denmark about them). And my tired2way is not perfect (of course) but I preferred them over M20. Only thing was my problems with the cabinet which I built not strong enough, but I have improved that over time.

If I was going to spend $2000 on a set of bookshelves I would start with a pair of these Speaker Building Supplies from Madisound I plan to use them in all my surrounds.

Not worth it and if you going to diy with a 2000 dollar budget , i would go for a SOTA design, not a bookshelf 2 way mini ...

Thanks guys! I need bookshelves :-(. So, not DYI: Revel m22. DIY: I need kits with boxes. Maybe you can recommend some? Part-express sells some speakers boxes, are the good?

Nice combo Henry, can almost imagine what they sound like. Those look like the dearer Accuton mid. Bet they sound precise and sweet.
