two speaker sets, one cab

Hi all , very noob as your about to find out,
Ive found a speaker kit of 1x bass 1x treble driver and cross over,
What I would like to find out could I put two sets in one cab if I seperatly box each speaker, may be porting one bass speaker ,using the two cross overs in parallel ?
would this work and would ther be any pros or cons?
any and all help much appreciated.

It sounds like you're saying you have two sets of drivers and one cabinet, but in the text of your post you cite "1x" for the drivers- so I for one am a little confused as to the actual number of "things" you have.

could I put two kits in one cab with the two cross overs in parallel or is ther a better and easier

Yes there is a better way - get another cab and build a stereo pair.

marka, if I read the situation you want to buy two kits and put them in one cabinet. Yes but it's better to put a center divider in the cabinet so the speakers don't interfere with each other. Make sure the cabinet is twice as big as they recommend for one speaker as you can't put them both into a small cabinet. The big question is: are you planning to feed this big speaker with a mono or stereo input? The reason I ask is that you are asking about paralleling the XO.

Hi Cal , yes I would seperate each speaker one in a sealed box one in ported,
and a mono input , but as can see ive no idea about crossovers

The woofers will dictate which to use, ported or sealed. I don't see a reason to try one of each.

Also, make sure the amp will deal with half the impedance of a single speaker. I can't seem to see the ebay. Maybe a link for us?

ive read either ported or sealed will work with different ltr enclosure and resulting in lower freq with the ported woofer , but if you think thers no benifit I will try somthing else , many thanks cal for your input

Buying a second pair of woofers and adding a .5 woofer in each also looks viable ( cost wise ) IF the amp can handle the lower impedance

sorry I was thinking of stereo , these drivers seem a good price for value so I was hoping to use a few in one cab , but not sure how to do it ?

Stereo is quite complex, but in the end it requires only binary channels throughout
the equipment, ending with two separate speakers .
By Joining those in one piece, you are killing the work of everything before .

The more the merrier doesn't work, firstly yo have to define your user requirements.
A classic 2 way like the kit you showed should fit most of the basic requirements.
Once you want a step in quality or quantity(SPL), the price rises .

that it takes to make such a thing .
And the crossover is the heart of a speaker (system).
