Default Driver break-in

I have a pair of 7" scanspeak woofers i just got and was curious if i should break them in before installing them into my enclosure or should i just let them break in through music.

If you are planning to tune the box, break in is a good idea prior to that .
If not, don't bother, unless having the speaker's sound change slightly over time bothers you.

Back in the day, my friend would "break-in" woofers before installing. He ran a signal generator at 20 Hz, but kept the amp volume reasonable, and let them go for hours. Is that what you meant? Not sure I would bother... but he was a fanatic. I would just go ahead and install the woofers without break-in.

Using pink noise (which contains all frequencies) is a bit better for break in than using a single tone, but 20 Hz at Xmax will "get er done" pretty fast.
