As cool as these look, I'm finding myself digging the Gauss coaxial in the background a bit more...

Oh, I missed that. I'll see if I can dig-up something when I'm home.

JRKO - I have not looked at this thread for a while, it really grew with 70+ pages. What's the project grown to so far - just a small resume. Thanks and get better!

Wow, that sound like fun and potentially good! I think I also saw mentions of the HF144 driver in a quick glance at backpages, correct? Good luck on the DIY multi-cell, that should be a nice challenge.

yeah hf144 is sat in boxes next to me now. The ACA amp is built awaiting a case and I'm selling bits to pay for hifimediy T4 (180wpc into 8ohms) for the bass. MiniDSP is en route

Just need to sort out papier mache and get my butt in gear!!

I've owned a number of Altec multi cell horns and I always wondered if a horn was made with just the outside dimensions of the cells combined would it sound the same.

I like the 1505 horns with 2 288C drivers per horn. SO could a single horn with the size and dimensions of the 1505 sound the same as the 1505 with all those 15 individual cells?
