first thing I'd try is a 220uF or 270uF NP electro cap in series with the speaker & see how it sounds....
Impedance varies with frequency, use impedance plots of your drivers and make crossover calculations using the actual impedance of the driver at the crossover frequency

If you use a high pass what are you going to use for the bass?
if we had the T/S parameters for the woofer some of us could model it.
