Hi all,
I want to use RS100-8 fullrange driver as mid in my next project crossed around 200Hz. I need to use it in a very small box ~ 0.3-0.4 litres. It will have bump around 200Hz with q around 1.5. I would equalize using linkwitz transform. Will there be a problem with a back wave escaping through the cone because of the small box being not big enough to contain enough stuffing? or any other reason why this is not a good idea?
thanks
martin

If also BR tuning is used for some mids , there must be a reason ...
200 Hz is a critical freq ( which it isn't ? ) and is the mid bass in full ,
so it needs some breathe .
I hope it's not a mid positioned in a paper tube as often seen in some
old designs ; cylindrical is also the worst environment for a speaker ( in axis ).
If you show the box .... !?!
