hello all,

I'm brand new to this forum, although I've been lurkng for a while. I've been in pro audio my entire life, but I'm new to diy audio. Fortunately I've got sme friends who have much more experience and talent n that area!

I am exploring building some PA speakers....and I'm looking at thebpossibility of a unity horn design. I think that I can handle (with help) most of the build, but I have no clue how to approach the horn. I was initially thinking about the Yorkville type of horn, but would not be opposed to a Danley type either. I certainly maymhave missed it in anforum search, but I'm having trouble locating any pre made horns.Do they exist? Thanks for any input you might have.

No pre-made horn shells for a roll your own Unity/Synergy. I know this is DIY, but if you intend to use them for PA why not buy some Yorkvilles or Danleys?

Lots of good info here for DIY Unity/Synergy: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/88237-suitable-midrange-cone-bandpass-mid-unity-horn.html

And here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/195955-unity-horn-budget-drivers-active-x-over.html

This is good too: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/200539-diy-synergy-horn.html

Google is your friend too! Just search for diy Unity/Synergy horns and you'll come up with some builds on other forums as well.
