Thanks very much, I can see that is not the best driver to do a 2 way loudspeaker. The tweeters you mention are almost the price I can get the two 12MU's. Still I'll think about it and also I've got to see what crossover.
Still thanks very much for your kindness. |

I have several of the Vifa P11, similar specs. Very small box as computer speakers perhaps but best used as midrange where they should really shine

Depends on what your looking at I'm not talking about the mega dollar beryillium ones http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com...eryllium-dome/ (although very nice)
I was referring to something in this range Madisound Speaker Store at $212. The 12M/4631 go for $314 Madisound Speaker Store and the 12MU go for $298 Madisound Speaker Store So you can do a decent tweeter for less than the price of one 12MU Last edited by Silent Screamer; 16th September 2012 at 09:40 AM. |

The 12MU is very capable up quite high, a 3kHz xover is very possible and recommended. This allows you to use a neo tweeter with a small overall diameter, giving tighter c2c spacing and a smaller footprint. If you want to go scanspeak then something like this
Madisound Speaker Store Would be far more appropriate. For less you've got the SB acoustics neo dimple dome Madisound Speaker Store And then for even less still the venerable XT25 in a small neo format. Madisound Speaker Store All three will work very well with the 12MU, although out of the lot I'd probably pick the SB driver.

Thanks, but the idea is to use the Scan Speak 12M revelator as I can get them easely and for a very good price.
The idea was to do something in the "budget" area arround 500 €, crossover parts included. The tweeters sugested will rise the price a bit... The SB acoustics would be the a candidate or 150 € for a pair of tweeters. Thanks anyways, |

I like the idea of a EU#500- being a "Budget" speaker, I wish I had a budget that big.
