Hey folks
Its that annoying guy again Today I'm sick of having to choose between listening to my hifis OR my subs. I have four outputs on my hifi amp, so theres no amping problem, but the hifis have *no* hope in dealing with the power levels on bass i would supply to the subs I would like to run each individual speaker (two subs, two hifis) from an output on the amplifier each, but filter out certain frequencies to certain speakers. There is only one bass control. On each hifi's channel, I would like to cut off all frequencies below 120 Hz. On each sub's channel, i would like to do the opposite; allow only frequencies of 120Hz and below. Using cheap electronic bits, what's my best bet? Also, it is not VITAL that i cut off the frequencies on the subs' channels, its the hifis im worried about. It would still be nice however. Thanks guys. Dont hesitate to tell me theres no hope -Eli P.S. If you're wondering what speakers im using, just for curiosity, I am using: -two Kenwood KFC-XW10DB subs, 10", 200w RMS, can reach quite high frequency for subs but i choose not to make them, -two old brown funny looking Sanyo hifis. the woofer is 5.5" or something like that, the tweeters are cone 2". They are probably about 40 watts RMS. Very old, but pretty loud on mids and tweets. will blow away almost any given new in-one hifi on all frequencies over 120Hz. Op Shop style! |
