Hello Everyone,
This is killing me!!!! An original set of JBL Paragon plans are available in Ebay. This is a COMPLETE set from 1959... I have no way to scan these and make copies easily so I am going to pass on them. If someone has the resources to make sets available I think there is quite an opportunity here... I've taken the time to post this here because I would like to see these plans made available once again. I hope someone here snags them! (And no, I am not affilated with the seller in any way) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting If you buy them, please consider making them available to all...

Kinkos and other copying places have large copiers for self service use. The price is usually $3 a sheet.
3*92 is about $300 to print a set. BUT the better idea is to contact a reprographics house from the yellow pages. The price they give you is very negociable. People with accounts pay about half the listed price. They also do all the work for you and bind the sets if you desire. The pricing is interesting- the first copy is much more expensive because they have to feed it in to scan it. The subsequent copies are a lot cheaper-much cheaper than Kinkos. I would think you could pretty much get bids from various places and go fo the low price. Clearly for you to profit, the sets are going to be sold in the $200-300 area. Is there a big market? |

I just found this link for Paragon plans.
http://www.audioclassics.com/detail....LANS&nav=brand I am surprized that they would cost so much. Someone must have a set laying around somewhere. I will check everyone I know. Good luck; Doug |

Well, part of the reason is that they cost a lot to reproduce!
see above I'll bet that you don't need all 98 sheets, but that is how they are sold. Clearly if they are full sized, $300 is a better deal than the ebay offer. You don't need originals to make the speakers. AND the prints you get would be OK to reproduce and share, I doubt that Audio Classics can have a copyright on the plans! I wonder how many pages the AC set has... Late news! they sold for over $2000. Maybe you can contact the new owner for a copy set |
