Is it possible to attenuate everything above a certain frequency? If it is, are there any sonic drawbacks?
I have a driver in a sealed box with an F3=80~, but would like the speaker to be flat to about 60hz. So, could I attenuate everything about 60hz to achieve this goal? I realize I would lose some efficency, but I can deal with 90db 1w/1m.
This is a two-way, so both the woofer and tweeter would need attenuation.
