My main speakers are active high-pass crossed, "in-phase" 2nd order @ 80 Hz. Only with this crossover employed, IOW not full range:
Would two of these soon-coming (estimate $60ea) 85 dB HiWave 100mm (4") BMR equal or exceed the acoustic power of one 86.5 dB Dynaudio Esotec 165mm 17WLQ
Proposed satellite monitor, active high-pass crossed, 2nd order @ 80 Hz: Two HiWave BMR 4" sited like the two vertical domes in this image,
the BMR crossed first order around 6kHz to a small dome or planar tweeter in the center where a phase plug is in the image. The angle would hopefully eliminate lobbing otherwise present with large driver spacing vs. high crossover pole.
