Does anyone know the value of the crossover caps for these old speakers? I've been offered a pair of these oldies and I intend to change caps before re-doing the tweeter foam. The actual caps do not bear any names or values on them

perhaps you can measure the caps (with a cheap multimeter or so).there is always some uncertainity if there is no designation on the parts.
No uf reading
I'm afraid I get no reading wth my multimeter. The're so old that seem to be all void of electrolyte

the xovers in these old boxes are usually very simple. i have a cs545 (3-way) here. it contains only three parts, 2 electrolytics (2,2uf and 3,3uf) and a coil.
have you tried out to measure the electros?

There are four caps, with no indication of value and 2 perfectly marked coils as it is a 3-way design.
Google is your friend. http://akdatabase.org/AKview/albums/userpics/10004/Pioneer CSE500 Schematic.pdf
It shows 4 caps with the following values, 40uF, 15uF, 3.5uF and 2uF
Anything with a 100volt or higher rating will be fine.
