Hey all -
I'm in the middle of putting together a decent, compact 2-way bookshelf system. I've selected the Scan Speak D2608/9130 tweeter and want to pair it with either the Seas U16RCY/P or the Seas ER15RLY. They seem like very similar drivers in modeling - I could get a bit more bass response out of the ER15RLY in both sealed and ported designs and I could use a small box for either driver. I like the better HD plots of the ER15, but other than that, any reason to choose one over the other? Thanks for any advice! |

the high end peaks are at a higher freq on the ER15, easier to crossover...???
I think I'd go for the the ER15 because of the better HD, & I prefer the cone material... Haven't simmed them, but the U16 may be slightly better at the low end, possibly at the expense of a slightly larger box?

Impedance varies with frequency, use impedance plots of your drivers and make crossover calculations using the actual impedance of the driver at the crossover frequency |
