a 250 euro metal dome would be nice, but i'm not sure that's the best option.

A Creative Sound Solutions LD25X may be more state-of-the-art and allow for a better overall loudspeaker.

Hi,

Seems your really into chucking money at the "alleged" problem.
Well regarded but expensive soft dome. Depending on the actual
application you can probably do as good for a lot less, it is old.

Expensive tweeters rarely solve a speakers problems, and if they
do it is very likely a cheaper model would be as afficacious, e.g. :

Indeed.
I have used it previously. Nice tweeter for the price.

Seas millenium. Low, low crossover potential.

Then it's probably an inherently flawed speaker from an acoustic standpoint, even if it's not, a ribbon tweeter like the Fountek Neo3CD or RAAL 70-10D would make much more sense.
