Default Speakon Connector wiring, 4 pole mono amp

I am trying to find info on if it is possible to wire the connectors in parallel, eg split one wire to +1 & +2 and the other connected to -1 & -2 and do this on both ends of the cable? I want to run the amp in stereo mode, not bridged and I am not sure if this will affect the way the amp outputs power?

Why I want to do this is b/c I am running about 60ft cable runs and I went with 10 awg speaker wire and speakon connectors can only handle 11 awg.

Cheers

So basically, you're fitting a 2-Core speaker cable in the speakon connector and each core is 10awg correct? and you want to connect one side to a power amp and the other side to one speaker or a speakers in parallel?
Unless i am mistaken, I don't see how this setup can run in stereo mode.

its not very clear what you want to do, what type of amp it is, or how the amp is normally wired.

From the Amp's user manual You can see that Output A's +1 and +2 terminals are connected to Amp A and Amp B's outputs respectively, by shorting +1 and +2 the two amp's outputs are shorted together, this will cause the amp to overload when a large signal is outputted so the answer to your question is NO, THIS WILL MOST LIKELY DAMAGE YOUR AMPLIFIER.
However, the terminals A1- and A2- are both connected to the ground so it is okay, It is also okay to do this for Output B's speakon connector since B2+ and B2- is not connected to anything. Hope this helps.

Wire the speaker end however you want. As long as you're consistent between cable and speaker, it doesn't matter.

However, at the amp end just trim the 10AWG wire to fit within the correct screw hole. (I would do that at both ends.)

If you do the ends differently, be sure to label the wires appropriately!

Ok, so from the manual, for speaker "A" on the amp side I need to connect the positive to +1 and negative to -1. For speaker "B", I need to connect the positive to +1 and negative to -1?
Is this correct?

BTW, I tried wiring the 10 awg wire to the connector and with a fair bit of coaxing I got it to fit OK.

So you are only using connector A now?
If so then yes, but take note that most speakers only use channel 1 in the speakon connector.
Otherwise, you're probably using using 2 Speakon cables from the amp to 2 speakers (1 cable each) you just need to wire channel 1 (+1/-1) for each cable. Connect Amp output A to speaker A and output B to speaker B.

No,no,no. Two connectors and two sets of +/- cables. That is what I was trying to put across in my last post.(The English language is failing me.) Speaker 1 to terminal "A" ,+1/-1 and speaker 2 to terminal "B", +1/-1.

That should make it stereo if I am not mistaken? Thats what I want.

Thanks for help BTW.
