Default To all Aussies

.. because of the seeming disappearance of the avocanet DIY loudspeaker suppliers page, I have decided to start one of my own.

Its only just started, with the main ones I deal with,I know there are others, but if people email me, I can add these others as I get the info.

(Only interested in the big suppliers, not local shops, please)

I think it may be advantageous to have links for each of the capital cities with local, smaller shops... example.. its 4:30pm on a friday night, the following monday is a public holiday, and you NEED SOME SPEAKERS!! (as you do) where do you go? well... in Adelaide, there is www.citysouthelectronics.com.au they sell Peerless, and Vifa and the other cheap range that WES sells... sure.. they are more expensive.. but they are RIGHT THERE when you need them.. www.advanceae.com.au also has vifa, peerless, and scanspeak... biggish distributor.. lol :S

Andy

You still have the info from the previous website. For Perth include WAR Audio for Cabasse, Focal, Raven, Axon, PHL, Accuton, Aeon caps and others.

http://www.warco.com.au/waraudio/index.html

MASS in Spearwood, Perth is no longer selling Vifa or Scanspeak drivers. Jaycar has marked up Vifas and Altronics has Peerless, along with their other brands.

Hi Andy,

Terry Paget of Paget loudspeakers is the distributor for Morel in Australia.

Paget Loudspeakers, PO Box 11,
Stockport, SA, 5410
(08) 8528 2201

email "Terry Paget" <aac@rbe.net.au>

Note the ME have sadly closed down (may be back at some point in the future, date unknown). I sent them an email a couple of weeks ago, regarding getting a panasonic mic, and a volume pot and found out they are no longer in business. You wouldn't happen to know where I can source panasonic electrets here in Aus would you?

Regards,

Tony.
