Pluto clone incl. sub

I am building a pair of Pluto speakers in 7liter enclosure inside app. 57 liter enclosure

I am trying a vented "box".Inner tube is 160mm. and outer 190mm.

Pictures did not attach properly. Most likely cause is that the size is too big. Check out the size limitations in the "add atachment" button. You might have to use imaging software to reduce size. We would all like to see what you are doing.

Hi Båndsei,
An interesting fullrange omni experiment it may be but in no way can you describe this speaker as Pluto. The shape alones disqualifies it completely.

Pluto is meant to be as small a point source as possible without adding these diffraction issues.

Your new project looks very interesting as well but you should be careful not to run into diffraction issues.

I have ordered new Seas 5" speakers and have a pair of aurasound speakers as i ordered 4 pcs.for my first build.
I use Mini DSP 4 way for crossover and EQ. Sure 4x 100w amps.

How are those ikea bowls (i presume?) working out, and how did you create the silver sphere on top?

The silver sphere is made from a transperant one painted silver as the tube is.
I like the sound but maybe the silver sphere is too small, it sounds better now in this setup:

Somehow this looks very cool in a 1950's retro chic type way. Not quite sure why!

I guess you pull them out 2-3ft from any walls to listen?

I hate to bring back old threads but these are so cool!!!

I love this design, it's quite elegant. What are your listening impressions? Measurements? Thoughts after living with them for a few months?

Also what sub driver are you using?

I like them ,but my favorite is planar ,so i build these:

You can read more in a tread .Diy AMT.
Subwoofer is an old Coral 12" 12l-60 with 3" woice coil.
I have messured them,and added eq with REW.
Cant find the messurement.
