Hi,
which drivers could go up to say 3khz to 4khz but can still go loud? and at the same time can give midbass punchy response as well. these will be used for 2way configuration paired with a beyma 1' compression driver. 1. http://profesional.beyma.com/pdf/12MI100E.pdf 2. http://profesional.beyma.com/pdf/12MW%20NdE.pdf 3. http://profesional.beyma.com/ingles/pdf/12P80Fe.pdf 4. http://profesional.beyma.com/pdf/SM-212E.pdf 5. http://profesional.beyma.com/pdf/SM-112%20NE.pdf |

These are all 12" drivers, so they are going to beam above ~2kHz. If you want to go above 3k and get dispersion close to matching a horn/waveguide, you're going to need a smaller driver.

When you use them, you are trading bandwidth for efficiency.
For an all-horn loaded system, plan for a 3/4-way system with each driver covering a one decade (or less) frequency band. Note that, at the lower bound of each band, the driver becomes displacement limited as horn loading starts its decline. The mid (voice range: 300-3,000 Hz) band will be the biggest challenge. Besides the horn, a phase plug needs to be designed as well. This device is needed to extend the upper frequency limit of an open frame driver when it is used in a horn. For this application, a 6/10" driver with a low [Qts] should be sufficient. Regards, WHG Quote:
