Default crossover upgrade

I am upgrading my 3 way crossover and I consider to get Mundorf superme silver\gold\oil 2.2uf for tweeter high pass and Jantzen Z-superior 22uf for the midrange high pass.

is it ok to mix cap of differnt type\vendor in the same crossover?
if yes, does this components match each other?
I dont want to hurt the damage the connection betwenn tweeter and midrange.

the problem is Mundorf superme Silver\gold\oil are very expensive in the 22uf version, so becuase of that I need to buy other capacitor for midrange high pass without effect the syenrgy between elements

Thanks

It's okay to mix and match crossover brands. Your choices are very high end. I hope you have the speaker with exceptional resolution capabilities that those pricey caps will be worthy of!
If not, you'll probably be wasting your money.

I'm not at all familiar with that speaker. However, I did a brief search and found it's for automobile application? If so, hey, it's your money!....

I was just reminding myself what the excellent Troels Gravesen uses in his designs:
PRELUDE

Jantzen Superior Z-Cap.

In the days when I worked on submarine cables, polyethylene was considered the ideal dielectric for cables with copper inner and aluminium outer. Entirely passive dielectric, unlike stuff like polyester which has polar molecules which cause molecular resonances at certain radio frequencies. You can imagine, on cables 3000 miles long, this stuff mattered. These capacitors will be metallised film on similarly passive polypropylene, but should work well. Hey, you can upgrade to those pricey mundorf later if you lie awake at night worrying. But I wouldn't. At a certain point, you are being sold snake oil.

Leave the woofer coil alone. For the mid, if the current coil isn't air coil, then replace it with air coil with the same mH and as close as you can get to the same DCR. Don't sweat the brand. It just copper wire/foil, etc.....
