Default Need help with fountek cd 2.0

Hi I m really new to ribbons. Bought a fountek neo CD 2.0 to pair with a seas M15Ch002. However the measurements I get off the fountek look nothing like in the product literature. there is a drop of 10 db between 3k and 10 k.. I am testing the fountek with a 10uF cap in line with a T amplifier. Am I doing something wrong here? Any help would really be appreciated.

You say a "T amplifier"? Does that mean a Class D that interacts with load impedance? AFAIK the CD2 has a rising impedance at HF from 7 ohms.

I'd try padding the NeoCD2.0 ribbon tweeter with 4 ohms in series, 8 ohms shunt and remeasuring. But keep the level low!

Usually people use 3rd order crossovers with this fragile rose. It hates DC or anything close to it.

As you say, normal behaviour is a slight increasing brightness at higher frequencies with Founteks. I expect it is quite sensitive to the source impedance driving it, especially as it has a transformer built in.
