Default Newbie thinking of a diy surround

Don't know if this is the right place to post, But i have been putting together some speakers for a ht, and for surrounds it came down to a diy design based off of Dave Harris's drift design. The only thing I am doing different is the shape and a little of the size. To give you a idea of what I am doing here a couple of links.

Which brings be to my question I have, Would it be better to go with one shape or the other., To clear up what I am talking about is how one speaker is per say flat on the front as opposed to the being flat on the back. Heres the links.

KPT - 1201 | Klipsch

or

KPT - 250 | Klipsch

Thanks

I'd like to see what you are using for the front 3.

How big is the room?

What are you using for processor/amps?

Use the shape you like, they are about the same (the second box has an extra angle).

For the l/c/r in that order, Klipschorn, Klipsch Lascala, Klipshorn. I have Altec 511b for mid, and Selenium HM17-25 for tweeters. The Seleniums have the d220 ti drivers which I would be using with the tweeters on this diy project. But I would be using Daves round tractrix horn instead with hopes to upgrade my mid horns in the future with his Eliptrac 400.

The rest of the gear if I get the reciever working will be a Nad reciever acting as a pre for a emotiva upa-5. I will upgrade the pre after I see what emotiva has the market at the time, if not I like Onkyos pre/pro line.

As for my room its 14x22, I know the speakers might be a little over kill but I like em, and I can all ways turn them down.

I had the KPT250 in system with Khorns at one stage as surrounds. Worked well in both a very large room and in one not dissimilar in dimensions to yours. They had the typical Klipsch issue of cheap underperforming drivers though.

I see no benefit to an axis symmetric flare in this instance, and one of the SEOS flares from diysoundgroup in a 2 way with great drivers would spank the KPT. For example JBL2206/AE TD12M/Faital Pro 12P300 + DE250+SEOS12.
There are cast resin WGs coming the same as the FG ones in the link and the SEOS12 are $US49.

The woofer I will be using is Eminence Legend B-102, It has a mounting depth of 4.33". Because of this the woofer would need to be on top which would put the horn on the bottom. Does anyone see a problem with this.

This is the Drift I was talking about building,

Drift Recipe

Main reason, it uses the same horn driver I have on my tweeters with my modified Khorns.

Ok, I ordered my kit to kind of excited as this is my first own diy speaker, it will take some time as I will need the 2 10" last and will have to save for them. But for know will get the boxes going and maybe some veneer if I have enough laying around. I will take pics is there a specific thread were to post or should I just post here.
Thanks for all of your input.
