Anyone heard of the Newtronics Temperence?
Strassacker: Speaker - kits - do it yourself Newtronics Temperance Loudspeakers listening test [English] (in German) SEAS-Box (in Norwegian) AVforum.no - DIY: Digital effektforsterker / Reléstyrt forforsterker / TL Høyttalere The Temperence has a Tranmission line that has an area that is only about the area of one woofer. Assuming each woofer has an Sd of about 130 sq. cm (and 3 woofers would have a combined Sd of sy 400 sq. cm) the Newtronics Temperence's TL has a much smaller area than 400 sq. cm. I thought the area of the TL needs to be much larger than Sd. How does the TL in the Temperence work? On a more general note what Theil-Small parameters make a woofer suitable for TL? Qts? Qms? Fs? One calculator (see link) did not require any T/S parameters other than Sd and Fs. mh-audio.nl - Home
