Hi all, being very new to all things speaker building, I was wondering if there were any plans out here in DIY world that kind of clone a Pioneer HPM 100. I would like to have a pair of these, but cant spring the cash for a mint pair, and wouldnt want to have them shipped if I could. So I am wondering if there are plans out there for a copy kat speaker. If not, could someone possibly help me make a pair, as cheaply as possible? Thank you all, and Happy New Year. I hope this is not out of line.

Nice but no. Those things are expensive. (And much) More if you buy the cannibalized parts/drivers. If you look for a 60's look just buy a kit from any manufacturer and give the final touch for the wood work.

If you want to spend, that I know you don't, look for a classic speaker like JBL L100.
If you want something you buy with pocket money go to a garage sale.
(ps. I can't see your flag yet) "Tell me who your friends are..."

3 way with a 15" woofer is how I would like to go. Should have stated more info, sorry. Basically would like to do a HPM 100 clone, but with less expensive components. Just wanted to see what could be come up with, using inexpensive parts and drivers, but try to get a nice sounding speaker, just the same. Dont knwo if it is possible, like I said I know next to nothing.
