It seems to me you do not read what is posted there or did not understand what was posted there. Because you keep asking the same questions. Anyone using PA(not PRO) comression drivers? Dual action Tapped Horn (New ideea..maybe) Best high-eff budget tweeter(any type) synergy like horn, using CD A nice respons in hornresp :) Still don't know what to use under 300 hz...(horn loaded system) Eminence Beta 12CX. Crossover help Unity horns experiment(need some help) Unity horns experiment(need some help) How does something like this sounds like? Read this I posted 3 conical frontlaoded horn like a la scala witch is maybe not conical but the effect is the same. With many driver choices. Which Are Best Budget Compression (mid-h.f. range) Drivers? Here a topic with drawing of the La scala. With many driver choices. Back Loaded Horns Volvotreter tappedhorn and front horn http://www.volvotreter.de/pics_plans.htm Read the topics and decide what you want and ask questions related to your needs, so you come to a conclusion.

you got some choices... pm me for more info... the best replacement 15" driver for scala is CW1526 by Bob... search it... for mid and tweets also CT125 or selenium HF drivers...
K-55 mid-range driver is one of the best... K-77s are also tweets... the original K-33 is woofer you're not gonna be disappointed by building Scala if you chose the right driver... you might be wanting stick to them for the rest of you audiophile life ... I mean it |

thanks for the input!
I get carried away with most of my ideeas But now it is time to build something! I'm gonna go with the Scalas because they are easy to build and i don't want to lose any more time with designing my own. Helmuth. Have you ever heard an Iwata horn? They look SWEET! That's what i am planning to use for the MF driver. If they sound good. |

Better take the monacor KU-516 driver and build a nice horn for it. And the p-audio sold by monacor as supertweeter. MONACOR INTERNATIONAL : Product Detail Page And the 10" monacor sp10-100pa in a conical horn like Volvotreter. Size is expectable. Or the beyma sm115 in the la scala made a nice sim. is very big

I suggest to build Cornscala instead of Scala ... Scala is not that easy to build... easier so say than done... Cornscala will go down to 30hz ~ but scala is around 50hz... but Cornscala looses 4db in nominal build but can be improved... very easy to build

I hope i will be able to find a good driver that will do 400hz-10khz in an Iwata horn. I will fill the top with an APT-200(i am buying them tomorrow). My biggest concern are the XO points->no XO in 500-10k region...al least @Hentai. I won't use the KU-516 yet. But I will buy one soon because i want to hear it! ![]() @helmuth.....You are not helping! I am trying to keep my mind away from those beautiful straight horn monsters |
