Default Anyone using PA(not PRO) comression drivers?

It seems that there are a number of PA compression drivers out there that at least have the same bandwidth of vintage ones(WE and company). Anyone using them?

By PA i mean this: Click the image to open in full size.

Why would you want to use that in the first place ? What's the goal ? Efficiency ?

I think he's interested in it because it's going lower, to 200-250Hz or so.

I want to have a single source for most of the F range. And what can be better at this than a compression driver.
How bad is to cross over at 6500hz? At the right moment a better driver will replace them..one that goes to 10000hz at least.

Do you have a horn already and you're just looking for a driver?

I'm asking because you might want to consider a small cone with a horn as well.

I used Monacor KU-516 with good results (Universe 3-way).

First hand experience is ideal!
I would like some subjective opinions also, if that is possible.

Is is better that an cone in horn?
Do they have any particular sonic defect?
What's the best thing about them?

Thank you!

It's like having affordable coax driver (BMS, BC) without its phase fidelity. Such a large horn I would recommend use with 8"-12" midwoofer, 2 or 3 octaves above 80Hz with midrange-tweeter driver in smaller horn like here:

(supravox mid + radian tweeter)

plus distributed subs (eg. Rythmik Audio?). For me sound is relaxing and constant regardless of volume. Subjective opinions -> StudioSound
