just purchased some clearance JSD JM-608s and can't locate any response graphs to give me a better idea as to where i need to set it's highpass and wheather or not i should bother using a bandpass with it.
for referance, it's: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=289-126 see, i have this aweful idea of using a 6.5 focal midbass, a VIFA dome tweet and the aforementioned mid in a modified MTM enslosure. I what to know if i should 2-way the setup and add the tweet for highs extention, or 3-way it. |

Hi,
The high sensitivity, 94dB, and very high Fs (507 Hz) means the driver really belongs nowhere near a hifi speaker, but what would you expect for $3. Don't expect the response to be remotely flat (sensibly). It is a pro driver and would likely make a nice addition to a 15" bass guitar cabinet or similar. I'd say it needs to be c/o above 1KHz for low distortion. rgds, sreten.

Difficult to do a project like this. Not enough information. Only you can do the testing for woofer and mid, if in a 3-Way.
