Default First diy project

I am considering to build my own set of speakers, i have two candidates
as of right now, the first i a corn scala mod 3, second choice is a solution
with onken bass bin with altec 416 b + Jabo KH-53 horn with either a fostex D1405 or a BMS 4590
i am not shore if these drivers fit together or were i should set the crossover
maybe around 600 ?
any input ,suggestions on my project would be grately appreciated
i will use a furniture carpenter for building of the cabinets

Ok, jumping in with both feet, I see! Those are very ambiguous first projects.
I have a soft spot for the Onken, so that's what I would recommend.

I don't know the horn, but 600-800Hz is usually where the Onken/416 is crossed. Measuring is the best way for the crossover, it's stab in the dark without it. It can work, but may not be optimum. Those two compression drivers are very different and not interchangeable.
