Hi
I have just acquired a pair of Mk 1 Meridian M60s and need to replace a tweeter due to damage. The unit is the SEAS H398, 25TAF/G. I have access to a pair of used replacements at a fair price but for not much more I could upgrade with a matched pair of new units. There are two models that have caught my eye both Seas and both of which have the same footprint. One is the H088 - 27TAFC/G which seems to be the closest spec. The other is the H1212 - 27TBFC/G which is close in terms of spec but not as close as the H088. I note from other posts that the H1212 has been used with success in the M60 but this was to replace an H539. This suggests that Meridian have used several different Seas units in this model as it has evolved. I am interested to know your views / recommendations. I appreciate that a mod to the crossover may be necessary due to differences in sensitivity but this isn't a problem. looking forward to comments. Martin |
