Default Zaph BAMTM compatible with HK Avr 20 ?

Hi, I've searched posts on the BAMTM, but didn't find what I was looking for. Sorry if I missed it. Please post any links you think are helpful. I like the Zaph BAMTM, and would like to use them with my aging but viable 1995 HK AVR20 Receiver. Rated Specs are 65Wx2 @ 30A. Not sure of actual specs. If the BAMTM isn't a good choice feel free to recommend alternate bang for buck designs. I like double woofer designs, but will look at single woofer if better suited. Thanks.

The power is fine for the BAMTM, but my concern would be that the BAMTM is a 4 ohm design. I would bet that the HK is probably OK with a 4 ohm load, but check your manual to be sure. BTW, I love mine.

Hi,

HK's of the period are current monsters, hence the 30A specification,
handling the 4ohm BAMTM will be a breeze. 130W into 4ohms is a peak
current of around 10A (+/- 5A), you've plenty of juice to spare.

(the HK will only do very high currents into very low loads on pulsed
short term signals, no way will it actually do 30A RMS continuous.)

With no subs I'd recommend the vented floorstanding version.

Assuming the HK is rated 65W RMS into 8 ohms continuous its pretty
much an ideal match for driving the BAMTM within its given limits.

rgds, sreten.

Thanks for the responses guys! Sreten, your comprehensive explanation is appreciated. I'm planning to use the PE enclosures for the sealed version to maintain a personal K.I.S.S. principle.
