Also the cone breakup is substantial and pretty offensive so it needs to be crossed over quite low.

Never the less, its a cheap option and a fun speaker. If you are looking for something more accurate, beyma and B&C have good coaxial drivers.
That is strange in the frequency response it looks nice flat. Much better than some coax chassis 6 times the price. Can it be you made a mistake in XO design?

Here Hifi coax chassis ciare.92dB

And a hifi one from beyma 92dB

see also the others.

Hi Helmuth,

Have a look at this thread: Horn Flare/driver throat mismatch causing big FR dip?

There are some tricks you can do to smooth the response but they are pretty dodgy solutions and introduce other problems.

Take a look at all the other coax chassis they all have 5-10dB variation in the response. I do not see the eminence is poor performer. It isn't easy to get flat response in the coax chassis.

I think the BMSpro driver can do better.

Yeah I noticed the response for most coaxial drivers is pretty rough. Maybe using DSP and PEQ is the best option?

What seperates the others from the Eminence driver is the 15-20db dip at 6k. There is no easy way to correct this other than removing the dust cap, cutting back the voice coil former and improving the transition with paper (as shown in your link).

I'm still hoping that someone has managed to come up with a good crossover for the Beta 12CX, or located the original Adire HE12.1 crossover schematic. I have gone back and forth, checking out all the links I can find, and there is no crossover anywhere.

I know about the crossover for the HE10.1, but nothing on the HE12.1.

Any schematic yet? Pretty Please?

I don't know is any one would be interested in the 'Mark I' system, but I have it if anyone wants it.

I just noticed that I wrote the incorrect designation for the project. Rather than the 'HE10.1', I really meant the 'HE12.1', but am not able to correct the mistake.
