For those who don't follow the Madisound Board, there are several DIY speaker events that are held in various places around the country. A web page has been set up for info about them at http://www.audioDIYcentral.com/ . It lists the coming events and the reviews of the past events. Check it out. The Milwaukee and Indianapolis events are the most recently completed.
The Arizona event will be held November 1st at my house in Tucson Az. This is the second year for the Arizona DIY. I will be sending info to be placed on the web page asap. So far it looks like we will have 15 - 20 people, about the same as last year. You don't have to bring speakers if you don't want to and it's a great way for a newbee to see and hear many different speakers at the same place. Kent English from Pass Labs has been kind enough to donate a Pearl Phonostage kit for a door prize. Being the host, I think I will refrain from entering the drawing, so your chance of winning just went up. You can check it out here: http://www.passdiy.com/projects/pearlono1.htm I will be putting together a list of speakers that we should be hearing. If you would like to attend or want more info please email me at: russbryant@comcast.net or rebryant@raytheon.com More details to follow. Thanks, Russ in Tucson |
