Hi
i have a rectangular driver , approx. 6.5 x 16.5 cm and would like to build a horn with le cleac'h or oblate spheroid flare , but i cannot find a le cleac'h or oblate spheroid calculator for a rectangular throat horn . i got a tractrix spreadsheet for rectangular throat . can anybody help ? thanks |

OS is only round. If you just want the flare rate then its
y(X) = sqrt( y0^2 + Tan(theta)^2 x X^2) y0 is the throat radius and theta the final wall angle (which will usually be at the -6 dB angles) |

hum4God,
ygm, I included an "elliptical geddes" just for snorts. You will have the opportunity to choose the horizontal and vertical angles you desire...then kludge the corners to suit...

theta is the half-angle of the wall-to-wall angle, I presume; i.e. from center line axis to wall?
