Default 4ohm midrange with a 8ohm crossover

I have a 4 ohm midrange driver that I want to use in a 8 ohm crossover design.
also, I use a tube amplifier so I guess 8 ohm will be easier on the amp.

What is the best way for doing this ?

I remember there is a way to connect two 8 ohm drivers in parallel and get 16 ohm impedance.

Thanks.

connecting two 4 ohm drivers in parallel will give you nominally 2 ohms impedance, you need to connect them in series if you want 8 ohms
