Hey, I've been looking at some cheap Home Theater in a box sets and I found a pretty good looking and cheap one for 199 cdn but its only 140 watts.

this looks suspiciously like a philips product. maybe the same OEM. dont expect too much from it. the fullranges might have 2" drivers and sub would be a 4 or 5" or even 2 x 3" woofer(s) in a 4th or 8th order bandpass.
these list in India for about Rs. 20K (USD 400) the sell like the dickens.
