Hi I'm building a bookshelf pair for my father-in -law to be placed in the living room flanking the LCD television, the problem is that the television monitor is kept in an open bookshelf with no covering in the back. There is no another option to place the speakers anywhere else because the primary purpose of the speakers is to serve as speakers for TV because TV's sound is poor. Furthermore side wall supports only one side and another side is the passage...Should I use baffle step compensation..if yes how much..I think 6db or 12db will not work in this situation..I'm confused ..PLS ADVICE..THANKS
