Default $25k for these? Seriously?

Global financial crisis? Apparently not.
Who the hell would fork out $25k for 2-way bookshelf speakers.

the Q1s produced a full-range sound that flattered female vocals without sounding mellow

What is a "Nano-Tec–cone woofer"?

Are there nano-tech robots imbedded in the cone that play little nano instruments?

Stop ! Crisis is for poor men like us... Rich people need to spend their money in something else no other people could buy. It is a sort of segregation
Like Porshe or Ferrari, you need the same things in audio

If it is really aluminum, a jewelled and lacquered finish might justify the price...

are you serious? imagine how many parts go to the car for $25k
now compare how many parts and labor goes to the above mentioned speakers
nothing justifies the cost!

Speaking for the 1%, I don't see how I could possibly afford to buy anything cheaper
