Apart from the mini Onken article, there was one on the Petit Onken (for a 12 inch Altec woofer), and of course the classic one (for the 15 inch Altec 416).

Hmm, don't know if JM's 12-79 article is where it starts, but it predates the Petit with pages of early T/S theory, charts, plotted responses that's the basis of what was to come.

The 12-79 article did not speak of applications for Onken enclosures; it was, like you said, more generally on 4th order vented systems.
The first article of the big Onken was by Jean Hiraga in 12-77 (magazine nr.2).
