Hi rob g,

Thanks for your comments. Iíve seen Mr Linkwitz Orion speaker, but never heard it. Iím sure itís a very nice speaker, but Iím currently not searching for or designing an open baffle design.

Hi rvrazvan,

The deal with my wife is one set of speakers in the living room, but I will have other sets of smaller speakers in my office room.

Hi camaudio,

I'm not counting anything out since I'm only in the sketching stage, but I have built so much around SEAS drivers and now I'm really leaning towards ScanSpeak and perhaps Audio Technology or Accuton drivers.

Regards

The enclosure shape is an option I'm thinking of. The ATC SM75-150S is an interesting midrange, but as I recall very expensive.

I'm really interested if anyone has experience with the ScanSpeak 22W/8851T00 8" woofer, measurements, sonic character, optimal enclosure volume etc.

I donít need a super sub-sonic response, but I want a fast dynamic response character if you know what I mean.
