Default Dayton SD215A-88 8" DVC as the 3 & the .5?

RS100 2way.jpg

This is an interesting thought.

I have a DC28F with an RS100-8 in a two way ported system.
They obviously lack low end.

What do you think of using a DVC subwoofer crossed in at about 250hz on the first voice coil for the 3-way & and second voice coil crossed in as 80hz for a .5?

This may be the birth of a 3.25-way. LOL
I think it's BRILLIANT!!!!!
What do you all think?

perhaps cross the first VC a little below your baffle step frequency,
& the second will depend on the room, how low the DVC driver will go, & how much of a bass freak you are.... :-) go fer it....

That is a great idea.
Use the first VC as Baffle Step Compensation and the second VC for bass reinforcement.
I like that Idea.
I'd be looking at 500hz on the first VC and 100hz on the second.
